A Family

Legacy

Deeply rooted in a family tradition of agriculture and farming, Patrick Font took over his parents' farm near the Monts du Lyonnais in 1986. He expanded it by replanting peach and apple orchards. The hilly topography and successive climatic challenges led him to establish a fruit juice processing workshop in 1993.

Quickly, he initiated collaborations with neighboring orchard owners to give new life to fruits that didn't meet traditional aesthetic and size standards for sale. Patrick Font's passion for fruit processing continued to grow, prompting him to expand his range. He sourced the finest fruits from around the world with the aim of creating high-quality products.

Together, with the same passion for fruit, Patrick Font and his children are writing their story.

In 2010, with the assistance of his son Romain, he realized this vision by launching his own brand of tasting juices and nectars, the Patrick Font brand.

The success of the brand, coupled with the involvement of Marine, his daughter or sister (depending on perspective), prompted all three to invest in a much larger production facility to ensure their continued growth.

Expertise

& Careful Selection

Our selection of fruits and vegetables is based on three pillars:
terroir, ripeness, and variety..

1

1-Terroir

The secret of our house lies in the careful selection of our raw materials, chosen with mastery and rigor from France and around the world.

We focus on the preferred lands for fruits, where the taste, colors, and aromas are at their best.

2-Ripeness

While terroir is an essential criterion, the ripeness levels of our raw materials are equally important.

The chosen fruits and vegetables are harvested at optimal ripeness, when they fully express their flavors to obtain powerful and indulgent juices.

3-Variety

Thanks to the family expertise of our House and the knowledge of our various partners, we prioritize varieties with the best qualities.

Our collection includes unique flavors crafted from specific varieties such as Redlove apples, blackcurrants from Burgundy, and Williams pears.

Patrick Font

His Journey :

Patrick Font was born on March 13, 1960, the fourth of five siblings. He grew up on the family farm nestled 600 meters above sea level in Saint-Romain-en-Jarez, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

From a young age, he dedicated his time to helping his parents with farm chores. However, at the age of 21, Patrick Font left his village with a degree in electrical engineering and moved to Paris to work at IBM. At 27, he felt the desire to become his own boss and returned to his roots to take over his parents' farm in 1987. He then focused on developing arboriculture, cultivating apples, peaches, and cherries. In order to make the most of the intense hours spent in the orchards, Patrick Font decided in 1993 to establish a juice processing workshop to valorize the second-grade produce from surrounding farms.

Two years later, he began a collaboration with a young entrepreneur who marketed the fruit juices produced by Patrick Font under his own label. This collaboration was an immediate success with hotels and gourmet restaurants. Faced with this remarkable growth, Patrick Font decided to travel across France and the world to expand the range and enrich it with new flavors. In 2009, the commercial relationship that was the origin of his success came to an end, and Patrick Font's main client disengaged to create its own production unit. This setback did not deter him, and it became the catalyst for a new adventure: the creation of his own brand, the Patrick Font brand.

Romain Font

His  journey:

After obtaining his BTS in technical sales, Romain embarked on a year-long adventure in Glasgow, Scotland, where he explored the country and worked various jobs in the restaurant industry. The sudden withdrawal of Patrick Font's main client in 2009 prompted him to return to his father with the firm conviction of creating their own brand and making it a reference in tasting fruit juices at the finest tables

In 2010, the Patrick Font brand was born, and Romain traveled across France to introduce the juices and nectars to Michelin-starred chefs. Passionate about gastronomy and marketing, Romain implemented a commercial strategy perfectly aligned with the premium positioning of the Patrick Font brand. Despite being very young and not having pursued higher education, Romain, armed with perseverance and dedication, succeeded in realizing his idea by bringing a fresh vision to fruit juice tasting.

Thanks to this vision, Patrick Font juices and nectars are now present in the most beautiful hotels, palaces, and restaurants in France and in more than 20 countries internationally. Today he is the co-CEO of Maison Patrick Font, a position he shares with Marine.

Marine Font

Her Journey:

In 2009, after graduating from high school with an Economics and Social Sciences degree, Marine pursued her higher education with a DUT in management and a professional license in international trade. During her studies, she took care of her seriously ill grandfather. A vocation was born: she decided to retrain and obtained her nursing degree with flying colors in 2016.

After several years of service in the hospital, the family adventure caught up with her. To the delight of her father and brother, she decided to join the company in 2018 as logistics manager. The strong growth of Maison Patrick Font prompted the father and children to acquire, at the end of 2019, a larger site equipped with a more efficient production line.

Marine, a true self-taught individual, then took on the technical project with her father and developed the layout and selection of the entire production line from extraction to packaging. In 2021, the new unit at the Tartaras site became operational. She naturally took over the direction of the production site.

Today, she shares the general management of Maison Patrick Font with her brother since 2022.

Partnerships

& producers

In a quest for quality, we choose to build lasting relationships with our producers. We foster a relationship of trust and work closely with our partners, enabling us to ensure traceability of our products.

We have privileged partnerships with local producers. In some cases, we even establish dedicated cultivation plots to ensure fruit variety, terroir, and production volume. The rest of the supply, for exotic fruits, focuses on Madagascar and La Réunion, where Patrick Font regularly travels to meticulously select the fruits that will be part of our collection.

Manufacturing

Located in Tartaras, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, our site produces the entire collection of juices and nectars. The precision and performance of our equipment allow us to achieve the excellence goals we set for ourselves.

To preserve the intrinsic qualities of fruits and vegetables, we employ cold extraction. This method ensures the preservation of the fruits' organoleptic qualities at the expense of higher yield. We then pasteurize our products to extend their shelf life for everyone's convenience. You can benefit from a Best Before Date (BBD) of 3 years.

Our recipes are developed with respect for the fruits and vegetables and their natural characteristics. We attach great importance to maintaining the natural balance between sugar and acidity. Texture is also a fundamental element of our recipes, and we work every day to ensure it is as pleasant as possible.
